ABOUT THE CITY
Montreal (in French Montréal ) is the largest city in the Canadian province of Quebec, the second most populous in Canada, and also one of the most populous French-speaking cities in the world. It is also an administrative region of Quebec. It is located on the homonymous island of Rio São Lourenço, being one of the main industrial, commercial and cultural centers in North America.
Montreal has the second largest French-speaking population in the world, after Paris. However, Montreal also has a sizable English-speaking community, and a growing number of people whose mother tongue is neither French nor English.

CLIMATE

Car is cheap to license, but don't forget about the insurance, licensing fee, license plate, parking and gasoline! It's worth it if the distance you have to travel is too far, as parking in the center is very expensive and almost that's not worth it. Public transport has a much higher cost benefit!

UNIVERSITIES
Montreal has the largest per-capita university population in North America, due to its four universities, three of which are highly recognized in North America: McGill University (which teaches in English), Concordia University (also in English), and the University of Montreal (which teaches in French). Other universities in the metropolitan area of Montreal are the University of Quebec in Montreal, and in the nearby city of Longueuil, the University of Sherbrooke in Longueuil. Montreal also has several faculties.

LIBRARY
Montreal's public library system consists of a central library and smaller ones around the city. While most editions of encyclopedias and other important books are in French, other collections, books and magazines can be found in English and even other languages, the most common of which are in Italian, Chinese, Portuguese, Spanish and Arabic, between others

OLYMPIC STADIUM

BOTANICAL GARDEN
It is the second largest in the world, in area, behind only the Royal Botanic Gardens of Kew in London, United Kingdom. It is located next to the Montreal Olympic Stadium.
The Montreal Botanical Garden was founded in 1931 and the inhabitants of the city have free access to the exterior areas of the Garden.
In summer there is a famous art exhibition in the huge gardens, giant sculptures are made with nature itself, as shown in the photo on the side. IT'S simply incredible!

PARKS

UNDERGROUND CITY
THE Montreal underground city (officially 'RESO or La Ville Souterraine in French or underground city in English) is the set of complexes (underground or not) in and around the city of Montreal , Quebec, Canada. It is also known as the inner city. and it is the largest underground urban complex in the world.
With more than 32 km of tunnels spread over 12 km2, the connected areas include shopping malls, apartment buildings, hotels, condominiums, banks, offices, museums, universities, seven stations of subway, two train stations, a regional bus terminal and the Center Bell, complex serving as an amphitheater and arena. There are more than 120 external access points to the underground city.
In winter, approximately 500,000 people circulate in the underground city daily.
